clear_super - usage was removed in commitcea67ab92d("btrfs: clean the old superblocks before freeing the device") but that change forgot to remove the actual variable. max_key - commit6174d3cb43("Btrfs: remove unused max_key arg from btrfs_search_forward") removed the max_key parameter but it forgot to remove references from callers. stripe_len - this one was added bye06cd3dd7c("Btrfs: add validadtion checks for chunk loading") but even then it wasn't used. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
