Call order on probe(): - max14656_hw_init() enables interrupts on the chip - devm_request_irq() starts processing interrupts, isr could be called immediately - isr: schedules delayed work (irq_work) - irq_work: calls power_supply_changed() - devm_power_supply_register() registers the power supply Depending on timing, it's possible that power_supply_changed() is called on an unregistered power supply structure. Fix by registering the power supply before requesting the irq. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
