Implement suspend operation for vdpa_sim devices, so vhost-vdpa will offer that backend feature and userspace can effectively suspend the device. This is a must before get virtqueue indexes (base) for live migration, since the device could modify them after userland gets them. There are individual ways to perform that action for some devices (VHOST_NET_SET_BACKEND, VHOST_VSOCK_SET_RUNNING, ...) but there was no way to perform it for any vhost device (and, in particular, vhost-vdpa). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
