We can get different results probing reset methods for a device depending on its power state. For example, reading the PM control register of a device in D3cold will always indicate NoSoftRst+ because we get ~0 data when the config read fails on PCI, preventing us from correctly probing PM reset support. Increment the PM usage counter before any probes and use the cleanup __free facility to automatically drop the usage counter out of scope. Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the reStructuredText markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
