Commit8e20fc3917("serial_core: Move sysrq functions from header file") converted the inline sysrq helpers to exported functions which are now called for every received character, interrupt and break signal also on systems without CONFIG_MAGIC_SYSRQ_SERIAL instead of being optimised away by the compiler. Inlining these helpers again also avoids the function call overhead when CONFIG_MAGIC_SYSRQ_SERIAL is enabled (e.g. when the port is not used as a console). Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
