Pull clk updates from Stephen Boyd:
 "Mostly the usual clk driver updates and new SoC additions plus
  non-critical data fixes for things that weren't used yet.

  One thing that's new here in the core is SSC spread spectrum support
  (SSC) in the clk provider API. The idea is that DT authors will
  configure SSC for certain clks and they'll be configured at clk
  provider registration time or when a consumer device is probed,
  similar to how we handle assigned clk rates or parents.

  On the clk driver side we have Qualcomm adding almost half the diff
  because they add support for 4 different SoCs and then a long tail of
  other SoCs like Mediatek, Renesas, Rockchip, SpaceMiT, etc. add more
  SoC support this time around. Luckily it's mostly clk data for these
  new SoCs because the actual clk_ops are already there. Beyond the new
  drivers we get all the little fixups for more compilation coverage or
  usage of more modern APIs. That all looks normal.

  Finally, I kinda buried the lede, I'm bringing on Brian and Jerome to
  help out with maintaining the clk subsystem. The current working model
  is already semi-distributed in that silicon vendors typically take
  care of their drivers and send me pull requests but I'm becoming a
  bottleneck for new drivers and core framework review because this has
  become a 100% volunteer effort on my part.

  Mike is stepping down after all these years (thanks Mike!) and that
  jump started the conversation around finding co-maintainers. Brian and
  Jerome have graciously offered to help me with the work load, meaning
  in the future they'll be sending pull requests and committing directly
  to the clk.git tree. They've both been around on the list for a while,
  I've met them both in person, and they've been making changes to the
  core clk framework along with helping review patches so I'm pretty
  confident this will work well.

 "The 32-bit Arm platforms are a bit more interesting this time: I
  refreshed an earlier series to mark code as deprecated that does have
  the tendency of getting in the way of cleanups and new features but
  has close to zero users. Among these are:

   - 22 of the remaining 28 legacy board files that predate the current
     devicetree based descriptions, using old chips from Intel and
     Marvell. The remaining six board files are for TI OMAP1 and Samsung
     s3c64xx chips and all still have known users.

   - support for Cortex-M3/M4/M7 and ARM1136r0 CPU cores and the 25
     machines based on these. These all use devicetree but the CPU
     support causes disproportional work. Most of them are just
     reference boards, the notable exceptions being the Nokia N800/N810
     tablet and the Buglabs BUG platform.

   - be8, be32, oabi and iwmmxt userspace binaries, which were mostly
     associated with the platforms now scheduled for removal and are
     increasingly problematic to support with modern toolchains.

  Nothing is actually removed at this point, to ensure that any
  remaining users continue to have the 7.3-LTS for a while longer.
  Patches for removal are currently being tested.

  Other updates include a continued work to convert GPIO number based
  interfaces to descriptors, a patch to restore little-endian mode on
  the one Arm platform (ixp4xx) that only worked in big-endian mode
  recently, and some minor cleanups and bugfixes"

  rockchip, renesas, ixp4xx. In firmware drivers, we see a similar
  picture for SCMI and qcomtee.

  Aside from these, we see actual new hardware support in a few areas:

edbafe65ee soc: qcom: rpmh: Add support to read back resource settings
All rpmh_*() APIs so far have supported placing votes for various resource
settings but the H/W also have option to read resource settings.

Add new rpmh_read() API to allow clients to read back resource setting
from H/W. This will be useful for clients like regulators, which currently
don't have a way to know the settings applied during bootloader stage.

aa5d0900ee ARM: tegra: Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__
While the GCC and Clang compilers already define __ASSEMBLER__
automatically when compiling assembly code, __ASSEMBLY__ is a
macro that only gets defined by the Makefiles in the kernel.
This can be very confusing when switching between userspace
and kernelspace coding, or when dealing with uapi headers that
rather should use __ASSEMBLER__ instead. So let's standardize now
on the __ASSEMBLER__ macro that is provided by the compilers.

This is a completely mechanical patch (done with a simple "sed -i"
statement).

e6b17a690c clk: spacemit: k3: fix i2s clock topology
The K3 i2s clocks were modelled as a single path behind one MPMU
register:

    pll1_d96_25p6 / i2s_153p6_base
      `-- i2s_sysclk_src (mux+gate, MPMU_ISCCR)
            `-- i2s1_sysclk (DDN, MPMU_ISCCR)
                  |-- i2s_bclk (div+gate, MPMU_ISCCR)
                  `-- i2s2_sysclk (mux, parent 0)

The hardware actually has two i2s clock control registers, ISCCR0
(0x0040) and ISCCR1 (0x0044): ISCCR1 drives the common sysclk shared
by i2s0/2/3/4/5 and the common bclk, whose divider always implies a
fixed 1/2 factor in front, while ISCCR0 drives a dedicated path for
i2s1:

Because of this mismatch, i2s_bclk reported twice the real rate, and
the dedicated i2s1 clock path could not be described in DT at all.

Model the tree as above: split the MPMU_ISCCR register macro into
MPMU_ISCCR0 and MPMU_ISCCR1 to match the hardware register names,
rename the common DDN to i2s_sysclk, insert the fixed 1/2 factor
i2s_bclk_factor in front of i2s_bclk, and add the i2s1_sysclk_src mux
and i2s1_sysclk DDN backed by MPMU_ISCCR0. CLK_MPMU_I2S1_SYSCLK now
refers to the dedicated i2s1 clock; no in-tree user references this
ID, so nothing is affected by the change of meaning.

   - Rehash locally generated traffic to a different nexthop on

   - Increase subflow limits in MPTCP to 64 and endpoint limit to 256.

     because they won't fit into the header space together (12 + 30 >

     The existing XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE is tightly coupled to policy+SA
     migration, lacks SPI for unique SA identification, and cannot
     express reqid changes or migrate Transport mode selectors.

     The new interface identifies the SA via SPI and mark, supports
     reqid changes, address family changes, encap removal, and uses an
     atomic create+install flow under x->lock to prevent SN/IV reuse
     during AEAD SA migration.

   - Implement GRO/GSO support for PPPoE.

   - Convert sockopt callbacks in a number of protocols to iov_iter.

  Cross-tree stuff:

   - Remove support for Crypto TFM cloning (unblocked after the TCP Auth
     Option rework). This feature regressed performance for all crypto
     API users, since it changed crypto transformation objects into
     reference-counted objects.

   - Add FCrypt-PCBC implementation to rxrpc and remove it from the
     global crypto API as obsolete and insecure.

  Wireless:

   - Major rework of station bandwidth handling, fixing issues with
     lower capability than AP.

   - Cleanups for EMLSR spec issues (drafts differed).

   - More Neighbor Awareness Networking (Wi-Fi Aware) work (multicast,
     schedule improvements, multi-station etc.)

   - Some Ultra High Reliability (UHR) / IEEE 802.11bn (D1.4) work

   - Fine Timing Measurement ranging (i.e. distance measurement) APIs.

  Netfilter:

   - Use per-rule hash initval in nf_conncount. This avoids unnecessary
     lock contention with short keys (e.g. conntrack zones) in different
     namespaces.

   - Various safety improvements, both in packet parsing and object
     lifetimes. Notably add refcounts to conntrack timeout policy.

  Deletions:

   - Remove TLS + sockmap integration. TLS wants to pin user pages to
     avoid a copy, and sockmap wants to write to the input stream. More
     work on this integration is clearly needed, and we can't find any
     users (original author admitted that they never deployed it).

   - Remove support for TLS offload with TCP Offload Engine (the far
     more common opportunistic offload is retained). The locking looks
     unfixable (driver sleeps under TCP spin locks) and people from the
     vendor that added this are AWOL.

   - Remove more ATM code, trying to leave behind only what PPPoATM
     needs, AAL5 and br2684 with permanent circuits.

   - Remove AppleTalk. Let it join hamradio in our out of tree protocol
     graveyard, I mean, repository.

   - Disable 32-bit x_tables compatibility (32bit binaries on 64bit
     kernel) interface in user namespaces. To be deleted completely,
     soon.

   - Remove 5/10 MHz support from cfg80211/mac80211.

6dc92ba487 phy: lynx-10g: new driver
Introduce a driver for the networking lanes of the 10G Lynx SerDes
block, present on the majority of Layerscape and QorIQ (Freescale/NXP)
SoCs.

As with the 28G Lynx, the SerDes lanes come pre-initialized out of
reset and the consumers use them that way outside the Generic PHY
framework (for networking, the static configuration remains for the
entire SoC lifetime, whereas for SATA and PCIe, the hardware
reconfigures itself automatically for other link speeds).

The need for the Generic PHY framework comes specifically for networking
use cases where a static lane configuration is not sufficient. For
example a network MAC is connected to an SFP cage, where various SFP or
SFP+ modules can be connected. Each of them may require a different
SerDes protocol (SGMII, 1000Base-X, 10GBase-R), which phylink + sfp-bus
are responsible of figuring out. The phylink drivers are:
- enetc
- felix
- dpaa_eth (fman_memac)
- dpaa2-eth
- dpaa2-switch

and they all need to reconfigure the SerDes for the requested link mode,
using phy_set_mode_ext() (and phy_validate() to see if it is supported
in the first place).

Note that SerDes 2 on LS1088A is exclusively non-networking, so there is
currently no need for this driver. Therefore we skip matching on its
compatible string and do not probe on that device.

ac0ffe7cf1 phy: lynx-28g: move lane mode helpers to new core module
Do some preparation work for the introduction of the lynx-10g driver,
which will share a common backbone with the 28G Lynx SerDes.

This is just trivial stuff which can be moved without any surgery, and
is easy to follow but otherwise pollutes more serious changes.

The lane modes themselves are exported to a public header, because on
the 10G Lynx, the hardware requires implementing a procedure called
"RCW override". This requires coordination with drivers/soc/fsl/guts.c
to tell it that a SerDes lane needs to be switched to a different
protocol (enum lynx_lane_mode).

ea07514700 net: mscc: ocelot: validate netdev belongs to switch in .netdev_to_port()
The .netdev_to_port() currently takes only a net_device and returns the
port index, without verifying the netdev actually belongs to the switch
being operated on. This can cause flower rule parsing to silently
resolve to a wrong port on the local hardware.

Update both implementations felix_netdev_to_port() and
ocelot_netdev_to_port() to validate ownership. Also update the callers
in ocelot_flower.c to pass through the ocelot context.

4f42beeb97 memory: tegra: Make ->resume() callback return void
tegra186_mc_resume() is the only implementation of the SoC ->resume()
op in struct tegra_mc_ops, and it can never fail as the SID override
loop has no error path. The int return value is therefore not used.

Change the prototype to return void so callers do not need to deal
with a value that is always 0. If a future SoC needs to report
failure from resume, an int return type can be reintroduced then.

Add the RK3588_SYSGRF_SOC_CON6 register offset to the RK3588 GRF
header. This register contains the I2S MCLK output to IO gate bits,
needed by the clock driver.

phandle reference to designate the ID associated with a given controller
that needs to interoperate with BPMP. Typically this is specified as an

2e4cfaa78e memory: tegra: Group SoC specific fields
Introduce new SoC specific fields in tegra_mc_soc struct for high
address mask and error status type mask because Tegra264 has different
values for these than the existing devices. Error status registers
e.g. MC_ERR_STATUS_0 has few bits which indicate the type of the
error. In order to obtain such type of error from error status
register, we use error status type mask. Similarly, these error status
registers have bits which indicate the higher address bits of the
address responsible for mc error. In order to obtain such higher
address, we use high address mask. Make this change to prepare for
adding MC interrupt support for Tegra264.

781f60e45b reset: mpfs: add non-auxiliary bus probing
While the auxiliary bus was a nice bandaid, and meant that re-writing
the representation of the clock regions in devicetree was not required,
it has run its course. The "mss_top_sysreg" region that contains the
clock and reset regions, also contains pinctrl and an interrupt
controller, so the time has come rewrite the devicetree and probe the
reset controller from an mfd devicetree node, rather than implement
those drivers using the auxiliary bus. Wanting to avoid propagating this
naive/incorrect description of the hardware to the new pic64gx SoC is a
major motivating factor here.

  to use struct clk_ops::determine_rate() instead of the round_rate()
  one so that we can remove the round_rate clk_op entirely. Brian has
  taken up that task which nobody else has wanted to do for close to a
  decade. Thanks Brian!

  This is all prerequisite work to get to the real task of improving the
  clk rate setting process. Once we have determine_rate() used
  everywhere, we'll be able to do things like chain the rate request
  structs in linked lists to order the rate setting operations or add
  more parameters without having to change every clk driver in
  existence. It's also nice to not have multiple ways to do something
  which just causes confusion for clk driver authors. Overall I'm glad
  this is getting done.

  Beyond this change we also have a tweak to the clk_lookup() function
  in the core framework to use hashing on the clk name instead of a clk
  tree walk with string comparisons. We _still_ rely on the clk name to
  be unique, because historically we've used globally unique strings to
  describe the clk tree topology. This tree walk becomes increasingly
  slow as more clks are added to the system. Searching from the roots
  for a duplicate is simple but pretty dumb and it wastes boot time so
  we're using a hash table as an improvement. Ideally we wouldn't rely
  on the strings to be unique at all, relegating them to simply debug
  information, but that is future work that will likely require some
  sort of Kconfig knob indicating strings aren't used for topology
  description.

  Outside of the core framework changes we have the usual new SoC
  support and fixes to clk drivers for things that were discovered once
  the clks were used by consumer drivers. Nothing in particular is
  jumping out at me in the "misc" pile, except maybe the Amlogic driver
  that has gone through a refactoring. That series got a fix from
  testing in -next though so it seems likely that things have been
  getting good test coverage for a couple weeks already"

519cff1d85 clk: spacemit: fix i2s clock
Defining i2s_bclk and i2s_sysclk as fixed-rate clocks is insufficient
for real I2S use cases.

Moreover, the current I2S clock configuration does not work as expected
due to missing parent clocks.

This patch adds the missing parent clocks, defines i2s_sysclk as
a DDN clock, and i2s_bclk as a DIV clock.

A special note for i2s_bclk:

From the register definition, the i2s_bclk divider always implies
an additional 1/2 factor.

The following table shows the correspondence between index
and frequency division coefficients:

From a software perspective, introducing i2s_bclk_factor as the

eddb5ba91b PM / devfreq: rockchip-dfi: add support for LPDDR5
The Rockchip RK3588 SoC can also support LPDDR5 memory. This type of
memory needs some special case handling in the rockchip-dfi driver.

Add support for it in rockchip-dfi, as well as the needed GRF register
definitions.

This has been tested as returning both the right cycle count and
bandwidth on a LPDDR5 board where the CKR bit is 1. I couldn't test
whether the values are correct on a system where CKR is 0, as I'm not
savvy enough with the Rockchip tooling to know whether this can be set
in the DDR init blob.

Downstream has some special case handling for a hardware version where
not just the control bits differ, but also the register. Since I don't
know whether that hardware version is in any production silicon, it's
left unimplemented for now, with an error message urging users to report
if they have such a system.

There is a slight change of behaviour for non-LPDDR5 systems: instead of
writing 0 as the control flags to the control register and pretending
everything is alright if the memory type is unknown, we now explicitly
return an error.
