178aa33602 media: nxp: imx8-isi: m2m: Fix streaming cleanup on release
If streamon/streamoff calls are imbalanced, such as when exiting an
application with Ctrl+C when streaming, the m2m usage_count will never
reach zero and the ISI channel won't be freed. Besides from that, if the
input line width is more than 2K, it will trigger a WARN_ON():

Address this issue by moving the streaming preparation and cleanup to
the vb2 .prepare_streaming() and .unprepare_streaming() operations. This
also simplifies the driver by allowing direct usage of the
v4l2_m2m_ioctl_streamon() and v4l2_m2m_ioctl_streamoff() helpers.

47773031a1 media: nxp: imx8-isi: Fix streaming cleanup on release
The current implementation unconditionally calls
mxc_isi_video_cleanup_streaming() in mxc_isi_video_release(). This can
lead to situations where any release call (like from a simple
"v4l2-ctl -l") may release a currently streaming queue when called on
such a device.

This is reproducible on an i.MX8MP board by streaming from an ISI
capture device using gstreamer:

	gst-launch-1.0 -v v4l2src device=/dev/videoX ! \
	    video/x-raw,format=GRAY8,width=1280,height=800,framerate=1/120 ! \
	    fakesink

While this stream is running, querying the caps of the same device
provokes the error state:

	v4l2-ctl -l -d /dev/videoX

This results in the following trace:

Support for routing virtual channels and data types to output channels

65673c6e33 media: imx-mipi-csis: Only set clock rate when specified in DT
The imx-mipi-csis driver sets the rate of the wrap clock to the value
specified in the device tree's "clock-frequency" property, and defaults
to 166 MHz otherwise. This is a historical mistake, as clock rate
selection should have been left to the assigned-clock-rates property.

Honouring the clock-frequency property can't be removed without breaking
backwards compatibility, and the corresponding code isn't very
intrusive. The 166 MHz default, on the other hand, prevents
configuration of the clock rate through assigned-clock-rates, as the
driver immediately overwrites the rate. This behaviour is confusing and
has cost debugging time.

There is little value in a 166 MHz default. All mainline device tree
sources that enable the CSIS specify a clock-frequency explicitly, and
the default wrap clock configuration on supported platforms is at least
as high as 166 MHz. Drop the default, and only set the clock rate
manually when the clock-frequency property is specified.

easier to read alongside the reference manuals.

fd5b6cd730 media: imx-jpeg: Check decoding is ongoing for motion-jpeg
As the first frame in "repeat-mode" is the pattern, the pattern done
interrupt is ignored by the driver. With small resolution bitstreams,
the interrupts might fire too quickly and hardware combine two irqs to
once because irq handle have latency. Thus the driver might miss the
frame decode done interrupt from the first actual frame.

In order to avoid the driver wait for the frame done interrupt that has
been combined to the pattern done interrupt and been ignored, driver
will check the curr_desc and slot_status registers to figure out if the
decoding of actual frame is finished or not.

Firstly we check the curr_desc register,
- if it is still pointing to the pattern descriptor, the second actual
frame is not started, we can wait for its frame-done interrupt.
- if the curr_desc has pointed to the frame descriptor, then we check the
ongoing bit of slot_status register.
- if the ongoing bit is set to 1, the decoding of the actual frame is not
finished, we can wait for its frame-done interrupt.
- if the ongoing bit is set to 0, the decoding of the actual frame is
finished, we can't wait for the second interrupt, but mark it as done.

But there is still a small problem, that the curr_desc and slot_status
registers are not synchronous. curr_desc is updated when the
next_descpt_ptr is loaded, but the ongoing bit of slot_status is set
after the 32 bytes descriptor is loaded, there will be a short time
interval in between, which may cause fake false. Consider read register
is quite slow compared with IP read 32byte from memory, read twice
slot_status can avoid this situation.

f65fbf8c3d media: imx-jpeg: Change the pattern size to 128x64
In order to decode a motion-jpeg bitstream, which doesn't provide a DHT,
the driver will first decode a pattern jpeg and use the DHT found in the
pattern to decode the first actual frame. This mode is called
"repeat-mode" and it utilizes linked descriptors.

The smallest supported resolution of 64x64 was used for that pattern to
not cause unneeded performance delay. This choice, however, can cause a
corrupted decoded picture of the first frame after the pattern, when the
resolution of that frame is larger than the pattern and is not aligned
to 64.

By altering the pattern size to 128x64, this corruption can be avoided.
That size has been confirmed to be safe by the hardware designers.
Additionally, a DMA buffer needs to be allocated to store the decoded
picture of the pattern image.

So we need to drop this buffer with error flag, and make the decoding
can continue.

e7bad98c20 media: v4l: Convert the users of v4l2_get_link_freq to call it on a pad
Call v4l2_get_link_freq() on a pad, instead of a control handler. This way
we can soon convert v4l2_get_link_freq() to be callable only on a pad and
remove the compatibility code.

7b12ab055e media: nxp: imx8-isi: fix v4l2-compliance test errors
Running the v4l2-compliance (1.27.0-5208, SHA: af114250d48d) on the m2m
device fails on the MMAP streaming tests, with the following messages:

fail: v4l2-test-buffers.cpp(240): g_field() == V4L2_FIELD_ANY
fail: v4l2-test-buffers.cpp(1508): buf.qbuf(node)

Apparently, the driver does not properly set the field member of
vb2_v4l2_buffer struct, returning the default V4L2_FIELD_ANY value which
is against the guidelines.

1378ffec30 media: imx-jpeg: Fix potential error pointer dereference in detach_pm()
The proble is on the first line:

	if (jpeg->pd_dev[i] && !pm_runtime_suspended(jpeg->pd_dev[i]))

If jpeg->pd_dev[i] is an error pointer, then passing it to
pm_runtime_suspended() will lead to an Oops. The other conditions
check for both error pointers and NULL, but it would be more clear to
use the IS_ERR_OR_NULL() check for that.

4bf194e10e media: platform: drop vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish
Since commit 88785982a1 ("media: vb2: use lock if wait_prepare/finish
are NULL") it is no longer needed to set the wait_prepare/finish
vb2_ops callbacks as long as the lock field in vb2_queue is set.

Since the vb2_ops_wait_prepare/finish callbacks already rely on that field,
we can safely drop these callbacks.

This simplifies the code and this is a step towards the goal of deleting
these callbacks.

After commit 0edb555a65 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove()

platform drivers.

Convert all platform drivers below drivers/media to use .remove(), with
the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As
.remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done
by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer.
