175357d1de arm64: dts: ti: iot2050: Add support for M.2 variant
The M.2 variant comes with 2 slots, one B-keyed and another one E-keyed.
They are configured by the firmware during startup. Also the device tree
will be adjusted according to the detect or manually configured
interface mode by the firmware. The kernel only carries a single
configuration as base device tree. It has to be built with a symbols
node so that the firmware can apply overlays for the connector modes.

The WKUP_PADCONFIG register region in J7200 has multiple non-addressable
regions, split the existing wkup_pmx region as follows to avoid the
non-addressable regions and include all valid WKUP_PADCONFIG registers.
Also update references to old nodes with new ones.

wkup_pmx0 -> 13 pins (WKUP_PADCONFIG 0 - 12)
wkup_pmx1 -> 2 pins (WKUP_PADCONFIG 14 - 15)

a266c180b3 arm64: dts: ti: k3-am68-sk: Add support for AM68 SK base board
The SK architecture comprises of baseboard and a SOM board. The
AM68 Starter Kit's baseboard contains most of the actual connectors,
power supply etc. The System on Module (SoM) is plugged on to the base
board. Therefore, add support for peripherals brought out in the base
board.

AM68 Starter Kit (SK) is a low cost, small form factor board designed
for TI’s AM68 SoC. TI’s AM68 SoC comprises of dual core A72, high
performance vision accelerators, hardware accelerators, latest C71x
DSP, high bandwidth real-time IPs for capture and display. The SoC is
power optimized to provide best in class performance for industrial
applications.

    AM68 SK supports the following interfaces:
      * 16 GB LPDDR4 RAM
      * x1 Gigabit Ethernet interface
      * x1 USB 3.1 Type-C port
      * x2 USB 3.1 Type-A ports
      * x1 PCIe M.2 M Key
      * 512 Mbit OSPI flash
      * x2 CSI2 Camera interface (RPi and TI Camera connector)
      * 40-pin Raspberry Pi GPIO header

SK's System on Module (SoM) contains the SoC and DDR.
Therefore, add DT node for the SOC and DDR on the SoM.

The DeviceTree Specification v0.3 specifies that the cache node
'compatible' and 'cache-level' properties are 'required'. Cf.
s3.8 Multi-level and Shared Cache Nodes
The 'cache-unified' property should be present if one of the
properties for unified cache is present ('cache-size', ...).

Update the Device Trees accordingly.

Add basic support for phyCORE-AM64x SoM & phyBOARD-Electra-AM642 CB.

The phyCORE-AM64x [1] is a SoM (System on Module) featuring TI's AM64x SoC.
It can be used in combination with different carrier boards.
This module can come with different sizes and models for
DDR, eMMC, SPI NOR Flash and various SoCs from the AM64x family.

A development Kit, called phyBOARD-Electra [2] is used as a carrier board
reference design around the AM64x SoM.

4664ebd834 arm64: dts: ti: Add initial support for J784S4 SoC
The J784S4 SoC belongs to the K3 Multicore SoC architecture
platform, providing advanced system integration in automotive,
ADAS and industrial applications requiring AI at the network edge.
This SoC extends the K3 Jacinto 7 family of SoCs with focus on
raising performance and integration while providing interfaces,
memory architecture and compute performance for multi-sensor, high
concurrency applications.

Some highlights of this SoC are:
* Up to 8 Cortex-A72s, four clusters of lockstep capable dual Cortex-R5F
  MCUs, 4 C7x floating point vector DSPs with Matrix Multiply Accelerator
  (MMA) for deep learning and CNN.
* 3D GPU: Automotive grade IMG BXS-4-64
* Vision Processing Accelerator (VPAC) with image signal processor and
  Depth and Motion Processing Accelerator (DMPAC)
* Three CSI2.0 4L RX plus two CSI2.0 4L TX, two DSI Tx, one eDP/DP and one

a0c01bc565 dt-bindings: pinctrl: k3: Introduce pinmux definitions for J784s4
Add pinctrl macros for J784s4 SoC. These macro definitions are
similar to that of J721s2, but adding new definitions to avoid
any naming confusions in the soc dts files.

checkpatch insists the following error exists:
ERROR: Macros with complex values should be enclosed in parentheses

However, we do not need parentheses enclosing the values for this
macro as we do intend it to generate two separate values as has been
done for other similar platforms.

2d94dfc438 arm64: dts: ti: k3-am625-sk: Add support for USB
AM62 SoC has two instances of USB and they are brought on to the board
in the following way,

-> USB0 instance
 - This is brought out to a USB TypeC connector on board through TPS6598 PD
   controller. The PD controller should decide the role based on CC pin in
   the connector. Unfortunately the irq line for the TPS isn't hooked up
   which is a mode not yet support by the driver (some patches were
   submitted earlier this year[0]). So for now the PD controller is left
   out and peripheral mode chosen.

-> USB1 instance
 - This is brought out to a USB TypeA connector on board.

Therefore, add the required device tree support for the above in the board
dts file.

UHS Class U1 sd-card are not getting detected due to incorrect
OTAP/ITAP delay select values in linux. Update OTAP and ITAP
delay select values for various speed modes. For sdhci0, update
OTAP delay values for ddr52 & HS200 and add ITAP delay for legacy
& mmc-hs. For sdhci1 & sdhci2, update OTAP & ITAP delay select
recommended as in RIOT for various speed modes.

292a089d78 treewide: Convert del_timer*() to timer_shutdown*()
Due to several bugs caused by timers being re-armed after they are
shutdown and just before they are freed, a new state of timers was added
called "shutdown".  After a timer is set to this state, then it can no
longer be re-armed.

The following script was run to find all the trivial locations where
del_timer() or del_timer_sync() is called in the same function that the
object holding the timer is freed.  It also ignores any locations where
the timer->function is modified between the del_timer*() and the free(),
as that is not considered a "trivial" case.

This was created by using a coccinelle script and the following
commands:

beca3e311a pstore: Properly assign mem_type property
If mem-type is specified in the device tree
it would end up overriding the record_size
field instead of populating mem_type.

As record_size is currently parsed after the
improper assignment with default size 0 it
continued to work as expected regardless of the
value found in the device tree.

Simply changing the target field of the struct
is enough to get mem-type working as expected.

2f4fec5943 pstore: Make sure CONFIG_PSTORE_PMSG selects CONFIG_RT_MUTEXES
In commit 76d62f24db ("pstore: Switch pmsg_lock to an rt_mutex
to avoid priority inversion") I changed a lock to an rt_mutex.

However, its possible that CONFIG_RT_MUTEXES is not enabled,
which then results in a build failure, as the 0day bot detected:

Thus this patch changes CONFIG_PSTORE_PMSG to select

cf8016408d cfi: Fix CFI failure with KASAN
When CFI_CLANG and KASAN are both enabled, LLVM doesn't generate a
CFI type hash for asan.module_ctor functions in translation units
where CFI is disabled, which leads to a CFI failure during boot when
do_ctors calls the affected constructors:

  CFI failure at do_basic_setup+0x64/0x90 (target:
  asan.module_ctor+0x0/0x28; expected type: 0xa540670c)

Specifically, this happens because CFI is disabled for
kernel/cfi.c. There's no reason to keep CFI disabled here anymore, so
fix the failure by not filtering out CC_FLAGS_CFI for the file.

Note that https://reviews.llvm.org/rG3b14862f0a96 fixed the issue
where LLVM didn't emit CFI type hashes for any sanitizer constructors,
but now type hashes are emitted correctly for TUs that use CFI.

09e6f9f983 perf python: Fix splitting CC into compiler and options
Noticed this build failure on archlinux:base when building with clang:

  clang-14: error: optimization flag '-ffat-lto-objects' is not supported [-Werror,-Wignored-optimization-argument]

In tools/perf/util/setup.py we check if clang supports that option, but
since commit 3cad53a6f9 ("perf python: Account for multiple words
in CC") this got broken as in the common case where CC="clang":

And then the Popen will call clang with that bogus option name that in

Fix it by looking if really there are options in the provided CC
variable, and if so override 'cc' with the first token and append the
options to the 'option' variable.

a9eb558a5b afs: Stop implementing ->writepage()
We're trying to get rid of the ->writepage() hook[1].  Stop afs from using
it by unlocking the page and calling afs_writepages_region() rather than
folio_write_one().

A flag is passed to afs_writepages_region() to indicate that it should only
write a single region so that we don't flush the entire file in
->write_begin(), but do add other dirty data to the region being written to
try and reduce the number of RPC ops.

This requires ->migrate_folio() to be implemented, so point that at
filemap_migrate_folio() for files and also for symlinks and directories.

This can be tested by turning on the afs_folio_dirty tracepoint and then
doing something like:

   xfs_io -c "w 2223 7000" -c "w 15000 22222" -c "w 23 7" /afs/my/test/foo

and then looking in the trace to see if the write at position 15000 gets
stored before page 0 gets dirtied for the write at position 23.

Variable nr_servers is no longer being used, the last reference

so clean up the code by removing it.

36f82c93ee afs: Fix lost servers_outstanding count
The afs_fs_probe_dispatcher() work function is passed a count on
net->servers_outstanding when it is scheduled (which may come via its
timer).  This is passed back to the work_item, passed to the timer or
dropped at the end of the dispatcher function.

But, at the top of the dispatcher function, there are two checks which
skip the rest of the function: if the network namespace is being destroyed
or if there are no fileservers to probe.  These two return paths, however,
do not drop the count passed to the dispatcher, and so, sometimes, the
destruction of a network namespace, such as induced by rmmod of the kafs
module, may get stuck in afs_purge_servers(), waiting for
net->servers_outstanding to become zero.

Fix this by adding the missing decrements in afs_fs_probe_dispatcher().

fd28941cff ALSA: usb-audio: Add new quirk FIXED_RATE for JBL Quantum810 Wireless
It seems that the firmware is broken and does not accept
the UAC_EP_CS_ATTR_SAMPLE_RATE URB. There is only one rate (48000Hz)
available in the descriptors for the output endpoint.

Create a new quirk QUIRK_FLAG_FIXED_RATE to skip the rate setup
when only one rate is available (fixed).
