4f18a79b35 drm/xe/tests: Change TEST_VRAM to work with 32-bit resource_size_t
We've picked the value of TEST_VRAM to match real VRAM size as found
on the machines used by the CI, but that didn't work well on kernels
that have 32-bit resource_size_t. Use smaller value instead.

bf4afc53b7 Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argument
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

69050f8d6d treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar types
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

a41ee215b5 drm/xe/reg_sr: Don't process gt/hwe lists in VF
There are a few different reg_sr lists managed by the driver for
workarounds/tuning:

 - gt->reg_sr
 - hwe->reg_sr
 - hwe->reg_lrc

The first two are not relevant to SRIOV VFs; a VF KMD does not have
access to the registers that appear on this list and it is the PF KMD's
responsibility to apply such programming on behalf of the entire system.
However the third list contains per-client values that the VF KMD needs
to ensure are incorporated whenever a new LRC is created.

Handling of reg_sr lists comes in two steps: processing an RTP table to
build a reg_sr from the relevant entries, and then applying the contents
of the reg_sr. Skipping the RTP processing (resulting in an empty
reg_sr) or skipping the application of a reg_sr are both valid ways to
avoid having a VF accidentally try to write registers it doesn't have
access to. In commit c19e705ec9 ("drm/xe/vf: Stop applying
save-restore MMIOs if VF") and commit 92a5bd3024 ("drm/xe/vf: Unblock
xe_rtp_process_to_sr for VFs") we adjusted the drivers behavior to
always process the RTP table into a reg_sr and just skipped the
application step. This works fine functionally, but can lead to
confusion during debugging since facilities like the debugfs
'register-save-restore' will still report a bunch of registers that the
VF KMD isn't actually trying to handle. It will also mislead other
upcoming debug changes.

Let's go back to skipping the RTP => reg_sr processing step, but only
for GT / hwe tables this time. This will allow LRC reg_sr handling to
continue to work, but will ensure that gt->reg_sr and hwe->reg_sr remain
empty and that debugfs reporting more accurately reflects the KMD's
behavior.

v2:
 - Also skip the hwe processing in hw_engine_setup_default_state() and
   xe_reg_whitelist_process_engine().

v3:
 - Handle skipping via an additional parameter passed to
xe_rtp_process_to_sr() rather than adding conditions at each
   callsite. (Ashutosh)

6acf3d3ed6 drm/xe: Move number of XeCore fuse registers to graphics descriptor
The number of registers used to express the XeCore mask has some
"special cases" that don't always get inherited by later IP versions so
it's cleaner and simpler to record the numbers in the IP descriptor
rather than adding extra conditions to the standalone get_num_dss_regs()
function.

Note that a minor change here is that we now always treat the number of
registers as 0 for the media GT. Technically a copy of these fuse
registers does exist in the media GT as well (at the usual
0x380000+$offset location), but the value of those is always supposed to
read back as 0 because media GTs never have any XeCores or EUs.

106340775a drm/xe/tests: Fix g2g_test_array indexing
The G2G KUnit test allocates a compact N×N
matrix sized by gt_count and verifies entries
using dense indices: idx = (j * gt_count) + i

The producer path currently computes idx using
gt->info.id. However, gt->info.id values
are not guaranteed to be contiguous.
For example, with gt_count=2 and IDs {0,3},
this formula produces indices beyond the
allocated range, causing mismatches and
potential out-of-bounds access.

Update the producer to map each GT to a dense
index in [0..gt_count-1] and compute:
    idx = (tx_dense * gt_count) + rx_dense

Additionally, introduce an event-based delay
in g2g_test_in_order() to ensure ordering
between sends.

8367585154 drm/xe: Cleanup unused header includes
clangd reports many "unused header" warnings throughout the Xe driver.
Start working to clean this up by removing unnecessary includes in our
.c files and/or replacing them with explicit includes of other headers
that were previously being included indirectly.

By far the most common offender here was unnecessary inclusion of
xe_gt.h. That likely originates from the early days of xe.ko when
xe_mmio did not exist and all register accesses, including those
unrelated to GTs, were done with GT functions.

There's still a lot of additional #include cleanup that can be done in
the headers themselves; that will come as a followup series.

e448372e8a drm/xe/pf: Use migration-friendly GGTT auto-provisioning
Instead of trying very hard to find the largest fair GGTT size that

provisioned in the same manner by the other PF instance:

num VFs | GGTT space (MiB)
  --------+-----------------
   63..57 | 56
   56..29 | 64
   28..15 | 128
   14..8 | 256
    7..4 | 512
    3..2 | 1024
       1 | 2048 (regular PF)
       1 | 3584 (admin only PF)

Note that due to FW/HW limitations we can't share all 4GiB GGTT
address space with VFs, so for the larger (>7) number of the VFs
the change in the outcome is happening at different points than
we have in case of GuC contexts/doorbells IDs.

5823d37a79 drm/xe/tests/pci: Convert GT count check to general device check
We already have check_graphics_ip() and check_media_ip() as general
functions to check the IP descriptors. The check in
check_platform_gt_count() is simple enough such that we can convert the
function to a more general device check. In an upcoming change, we will
also add some checks for other members of struct xe_device_desc. As
such, rename check_platform_gt_count() to check_platform_desc().

While at it, use inline (unsigned int) casting of max_gt_per_tile to
keep checks for each member localized; and use KUNIT_EXPECT_*() variants
of the macros to allow multiple issues to be reported.

ff1d2b5e3d drm/xe: Read VF GMD_ID with a specifically-allocated dummy GT
SRIOV VF initialization has a bit of a chicken and egg design problem.
Determining the IP version of the graphics and media IPs can't be done
via direct register reads as it is on PF or native and instead requires
querying the GuC. However initialization of the GT, including its GuC,
needs to wait until after we know the IP versions so that the proper
initialization steps for the platform/IP are followed.

Currently the (somewhat hacky) solution is to manually fill out just
enough fields in tile 0's primary GT structure to make it look as if the
GT has been initialized so that the GuC can be partially initialized and
queried to obtain the GMD_ID values. When the GT gets properly
initialized during the regular flows, the hacked-up values will get
overwritten as part of the general initialization flows.

Rather than using tile 0's primary GT structure to hold the hacked up
values for querying every GT on every tile, instead allocate a dedicated
dummy structure. This will allow us to move the tile->primary_gt's
allocation to a more consistent place later in the initialization flow
in future patches (i.e., we shouldn't even allocate this GT structure if
the GT is disabled/unavailable). It also helps ensure there can't be
any accidental leakage of initialization or state between the dummy
initialization for GMD_ID and the real driver initialization of the GT.

v2:
 - Initialize gt->tile for temporary GT. (CI, Michal)
 - Use scope-based cleanup handler to free temp GT. (Michal)
 - Propagate actual error code from xe_gt_sriov_vf_bootstrap() rather
than just setting IP version to 0.0 now that read_gmdid() can return
   an error. (Michal)
v3:
 - Explicitly initialize gt to NULL, just in case something else gets
inserted before the kzalloc() in the future. (Lucas)

Pull kunit updates from Shuah Khan:

 - New parameterized test features

KUnit parameterized tests supported two primary methods for getting
   parameters:

    - Defining custom logic within a generate_params() function.

    - Using the KUNIT_ARRAY_PARAM() and KUNIT_ARRAY_PARAM_DESC() macros
with a pre-defined static array and passing the created
      *_gen_params() to KUNIT_CASE_PARAM().

These methods present limitations when dealing with dynamically
generated parameter arrays, or in scenarios where populating
parameters sequentially via generate_params() is inefficient or
   overly complex.

These limitations are fixed with a parameterized test method

 - Fix issues in kunit build artifacts cleanup

 - Fix parsing skipped test problem in kselftest framework

 - Enable PCI on UML without triggering WARN()

df636bf283 drm/xe/dma-buf: Allow pinning of p2p dma-buf
RDMA NICs typically requires the VRAM dma-bufs to be pinned in
VRAM for pcie-p2p communication, since they don't fully support
the move_notify() scheme. We would like to support that.

However allowing unaccounted pinning of VRAM creates a DOS vector
so up until now we haven't allowed it.

However with cgroups support in TTM, the amount of VRAM allocated
to a cgroup can be limited, and since also the pinned memory is
accounted as allocated VRAM we should be safe.

An analogy with system memory can be made if we observe the
similarity with kernel system memory that is allocated as the
result of user-space action and that is accounted using __GFP_ACCOUNT.

Ideally, to be more flexible, we would add a "pinned_memory",
or possibly "kernel_memory" limit to the dmem cgroups controller,
that would additionally limit the memory that is pinned in this way.
If we let that limit default to the dmem::max limit we can
introduce that without needing to care about regressions.

Considering that we already pin VRAM in this way for at least
page-table memory and LRC memory, and the above path to greater
flexibility, allow this also for dma-bufs.

v2:
- Update comments about pinning in the dma-buf kunit test

5bb5258e35 drm/xe/tests: Add pre-GMDID IP descriptors to param generators
Recently introduced kunit parameter generators were based on
the existing arrays which have only GDMID-based IPs and didn't
take into account IP definitions from pre-GMDID era.

Add test only arrays with pre-GMDID IPs (as those will not change)
and extend param generators to start iterating over them.

0131514f97 drm/xe: Pass down drm_exec context to validation
We want all validation (potential backing store allocation) to be part
of a drm_exec transaction. Therefore add a drm_exec pointer argument
to xe_bo_validate() and ___xe_bo_create_locked(). Upcoming patches
will deal with making all (or nearly all) calls to these functions
part of a drm_exec transaction. In the meantime, define special values
of the drm_exec pointer:

XE_VALIDATION_UNIMPLEMENTED: Implementation of the drm_exec transaction
has not been done yet.
XE_VALIDATION_UNSUPPORTED: Some Middle-layers (dma-buf) doesn't allow
the drm_exec context to be passed down to map_attachment where
validation takes place.
XE_VALIDATION_OPT_OUT: May be used only for kunit tests where exhaustive
eviction isn't crucial and the ROI of converting those is very
small.

For XE_VALIDATION_UNIMPLEMENTED and XE_VALIDATION_OPT_OUT there is also
a lockdep check that a drm_exec transaction can indeed start at the
location where the macro is expanded. This is to encourage
developers to take this into consideration early in the code
development process.

ddbe5aecea drm/xe/kunit: Drop custom struct platform_test_case
Custom struct platform_test_case definition in xe_wa is now almost
identical to generic struct xe_pci_fake_data defintiion except the
.name member, which could be generated by xe_pci_fake_data_desc().

b1ee655843 drm/xe/kunit: Introduce xe_pci_fake_data_desc()
We already use struct xe_pci_fake_data to provide custom config of
the fake PCI device and soon we will be using this struct also as
direct parameter for the parameterized Xe KUnit tests.

Add function to generate description based on that config data.

For platform or subplatform name lookup pciidlist which already
have definitions of all supported platforms.

Examples:

  TIGERLAKE
  TIGERLAKE A0
  TIGERLAKE SR-IOV PF
  ...
  PANTHERLAKE 30.00(Xe3_LPG) 30.00(Xe3_LPM)
  PANTHERLAKE 30.00(Xe3_LPG) A0 30.00(Xe3_LPM) A0
  PANTHERLAKE 30.00(Xe3_LPG) A0 30.00(Xe3_LPM) A0 SR-IOV VF

42367babd8 drm/xe/kunit: Update struct xe_pci_fake_data step declarations
The struct xe_pci_fake_data has fields that specify graphics and
media stepping of the fake PCI device used during KUnit testing.

Change definitions of those separate step fields and use existing
struct xe_step_info definition that already have required fields.
