18355307dc i2c: atr: add static flag
Some I2C ATRs do not support dynamic remapping, only static mapping
of direct children.

Mappings will only be added or removed as a result of devices being
added or removed from a child bus.

The ATR pool will have to be big enough to accommodate all devices
expected to be added to the child buses.

Add a new flag that prevents old mappings to be replaced or new mappings
to be created in the alias finding code paths. That mens adding a flags
parameter to i2c_atr_new() and an i2c_atr_flags enum.

d8566886f2 misc: hi6421-spmi-pmic: Switch to irq_domain_create_simple()
irq_domain_add_simple() is going away as being obsolete now. Switch to
the preferred irq_domain_create_simple(). That differs in the first
parameter: It takes more generic struct fwnode_handle instead of struct
device_node. Therefore, of_fwnode_handle() is added around the
parameter.

Note some of the users can likely use dev->fwnode directly instead of
indirect of_fwnode_handle(dev->of_node). But dev->fwnode is not
guaranteed to be set for all, so this has to be investigated on case to
case basis (by people who can actually test with the HW).

efef7f184f x86/msr: Add explicit includes of <asm/msr.h>
For historic reasons there are some TSC-related functions in the
<asm/msr.h> header, even though there's an <asm/tsc.h> header.

To facilitate the relocation of rdtsc{,_ordered}() from <asm/msr.h>
to <asm/tsc.h> and to eventually eliminate the inclusion of
<asm/msr.h> in <asm/tsc.h>, add an explicit <asm/msr.h> dependency
to the source files that reference definitions from <asm/msr.h>.

28cd28a752 lkdtm: use SLAB_NO_MERGE instead of an empty constructor
Use SLAB_NO_MERGE flag to prevent merging instead of providing an
empty constructor. Using an empty constructor in this manner is an abuse
of slab interface.

The SLAB_NO_MERGE flag should be used with caution, but in this case,
it is acceptable as the cache is intended soley for debugging purposes.

No functional changes intended.

442cacac2d misc: pci_endpoint_test: Defer IRQ allocation until ioctl(PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE)
Commit a402006d48 ("misc: pci_endpoint_test: Remove global 'irq_type'
and 'no_msi'") changed so that the default IRQ vector requested by
pci_endpoint_test_probe() was no longer the module param 'irq_type', but
instead test->irq_type. test->irq_type is by default IRQ_TYPE_UNDEFINED
(until someone calls ioctl(PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE)).

However, the commit also changed so that after initializing test->irq_type
to IRQ_TYPE_UNDEFINED, it also overrides it with driver_data->irq_type, if
the PCI device and vendor ID provides driver_data.

This causes a regression for PCI device and vendor IDs that do not provide
driver_data, and the host side pci_endpoint_test_driver driver failed to
probe on such platforms:

  pci-endpoint-test 0001:01:00.0: Invalid IRQ type selected
  pci-endpoint-test 0001:01:00.0: probe with driver pci-endpoint-test failed with error -22

Considering that the pci endpoint selftests and the old pcitest.sh always
call ioctl(PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE) before performing any test that requires
IRQs, fix the regression by removing the allocation of IRQs in
pci_endpoint_test_probe().  The IRQ allocation will occur when
ioctl(PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE) is called.

A positive side effect of this is that even if the endpoint controller has
issues with IRQs, the user can do still do all the tests/ioctls() that do
not require working IRQs, e.g. PCITEST_BAR and PCITEST_BARS.

This also means that we can remove the now unused irq_type from
driver_data. The irq_type will always be the one configured by the user
using ioctl(PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE). (A user that does not know, or care
which irq_type that is used, can use PCITEST_IRQ_TYPE_AUTO. This has
superseded the need for a default irq_type in driver_data.)

1e5c9b1efa misc: add FPC202 dual port controller driver
The TI FPC202 dual port controller serves as a low-speed signal aggregator
for common port types such as SFP, QSFP, Mini-SAS HD, and others.

It aggregates GPIO and I2C signals across two downstream ports, acting as
both a GPIO controller and an I2C address translator for up to two logical
devices per port.

f88c0c72ff mei: vsc: Use struct vsc_tp_packet as vsc-tp tx_buf and rx_buf type
vsc_tp.tx_buf and vsc_tp.rx_buf point to a struct vsc_tp_packet, use

00f1cc14da mei: vsc: Fix fortify-panic caused by invalid counted_by() use
gcc 15 honors the __counted_by(len) attribute on vsc_tp_packet.buf[]
and the vsc-tp.c code is using this in a wrong way. len does not contain
the available size in the buffer, it contains the actual packet length
*without* the crc. So as soon as vsc_tp_xfer() tries to add the crc to
buf[] the fortify-panic handler gets triggered:

The easiest fix would be to just drop the counted-by but with the exception
of the ack buffer in vsc_tp_xfer_helper() which only contains enough room
for the packet-header, all other uses of vsc_tp_packet always use a buffer
of VSC_TP_MAX_XFER_SIZE bytes for the packet.

Instead of just dropping the counted-by, split the vsc_tp_packet struct
definition into a header and a full-packet definition and use a fixed
size buf[] in the packet definition, this way fortify-source buffer
overrun checking still works when enabled.

e9d7748a74 misc: microchip: pci1xxxx: Fix incorrect IRQ status handling during ack
Under irq_ack, pci1xxxx_assign_bit reads the current interrupt status,
modifies and writes the entire value back. Since, the IRQ status bit
gets cleared on writing back, the better approach is to directly write
the bitmask to the register in order to preserve the value.

18eb77c75e misc: microchip: pci1xxxx: Fix Kernel panic during IRQ handler registration
Resolve kernel panic while accessing IRQ handler associated with the
generated IRQ. This is done by acquiring the spinlock and storing the
current interrupt state before handling the interrupt request using
generic_handle_irq.

A previous fix patch was submitted where 'generic_handle_irq' was
replaced with 'handle_nested_irq'. However, this change also causes
the kernel panic where after determining which GPIO triggered the
interrupt and attempting to call handle_nested_irq with the mapped
IRQ number, leads to a failure in locating the registered handler.

05026ea01e objtool, lkdtm: Obfuscate the do_nothing() pointer
If execute_location()'s memcpy of do_nothing() gets inlined and unrolled
by the compiler, it copies one word at a time:

    mov    %rax,0x30(%rbx)
    ...

Those .text references point to the middle of the function, causing
objtool to complain about their lack of ENDBR.

Prevent that by resolving the function pointer at runtime rather than
build time.  This fixes the following warning:

For PCITEST_MSI we really want to set PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE explicitly
to PCITEST_IRQ_TYPE_MSI, since we want to test if MSI works.

For PCITEST_MSIX we really want to set PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE explicitly
to PCITEST_IRQ_TYPE_MSIX, since we want to test if MSI works.

For PCITEST_LEGACY_IRQ we really want to set PCITEST_SET_IRQTYPE
explicitly to PCITEST_IRQ_TYPE_INTX, since we want to test if INTx
works.

However, for PCITEST_WRITE, PCITEST_READ, PCITEST_COPY, we really don't
care which IRQ type that is used, we just want to use a IRQ type that is
supported by the EPC.

The old behavior was to always use MSI for PCITEST_WRITE, PCITEST_READ,
PCITEST_COPY, was to always set IRQ type to MSI before doing the actual
test, however, there are EPC drivers that do not support MSI.

Add a new PCITEST_IRQ_TYPE_AUTO, that will use the CAPS register to see
which IRQ types the endpoint supports, and use one of the supported IRQ
types.

For backwards compatibility, if the endpoint does not expose any supported
IRQ type in the CAPS register, simply fallback to using MSI, as it was
unconditionally done before.

5a0fcb0ef5 cxl: Remove driver
Remove the cxl driver that provides support for the IBM Coherent
Accelerator Processor Interface. Revert or clean up associated code in
arch/powerpc that is no longer necessary.

cxl has received minimal maintenance for several years, and is not
supported on the Power10 processor. We aren't aware of any users who are
likely to be using recent kernels.

Thanks to Mikey Neuling, Ian Munsie, Daniel Axtens, Frederic Barrat,
Christophe Lombard, Philippe Bergheaud, Vaibhav Jain and Alastair
D'Silva for their work on this driver over the years.

a402006d48 misc: pci_endpoint_test: Remove global 'irq_type' and 'no_msi'
The global variable "irq_type" preserves the current value of
ioctl(GET_IRQTYPE).

However, all tests that use interrupts first call ioctl(SET_IRQTYPE)
to set "test->irq_type", then write the value of test->irq_type into
the register pointed by test_reg_bar, and request the interrupt to the
endpoint. The endpoint function driver, pci-epf-test, refers to the
register, and determine which type of interrupt to raise.

The global variable "irq_type" is never used in the actual test,
so remove the variable and replace it with "test->irq_type".

Also, for the same reason, the variable "no_msi" can be removed.

Initially, "test->irq_type" has IRQ_TYPE_UNDEFINED, and the
ioctl(GET_IRQTYPE) before calling ioctl(SET_IRQTYPE) will return
an error.

There are two variables that indicate the interrupt type to be used
in the next test execution, "irq_type" as global and "test->irq_type".

The global is referenced from pci_endpoint_test_get_irq() to preserve
the current type for ioctl(PCITEST_GET_IRQTYPE).

The type set in this function isn't reflected in the global "irq_type",
so ioctl(PCITEST_GET_IRQTYPE) returns the previous type.

As a result, the wrong type is displayed in old version of "pcitest"
as follows:

  - Result of running "pcitest -i 0"

      SET IRQ TYPE TO LEGACY:         OKAY

  - Result of running "pcitest -I"

      GET IRQ TYPE:           MSI

Whereas running the new version of "pcitest" in kselftest results in an
error as follows:

  #  RUN           pci_ep_basic.LEGACY_IRQ_TEST ...
  # pci_endpoint_test.c:104:LEGACY_IRQ_TEST:Expected 0 (0) == ret (1)
  # pci_endpoint_test.c:104:LEGACY_IRQ_TEST:Can't get Legacy IRQ type

Fix this issue by propagating the current type to the global "irq_type".

3b18ccb547 misc: lis3lv02d: convert to use faux_device
The lis3lv02d driver does not need to create a platform device, it only
did so because it was simple to do that in order to get a place in sysfs
to hang some device-specific attributes.  Change it over to use the faux
device instead as this is NOT a real platform device, and it makes the
code even smaller than before.

In the pci_endpoint_test_request_irq(), since this global variable
is referenced when an error occurs, the unintended error message is
displayed.

For example, after running "pcitest -i 2", the following message
shows "MSI 3" even if the current IRQ type becomes "MSI-X":

  SET IRQ TYPE TO MSI-X:          NOT OKAY

f6cb7828c8 misc: pci_endpoint_test: Avoid issue of interrupts remaining after request_irq error
After devm_request_irq() fails with error in pci_endpoint_test_request_irq(),
the pci_endpoint_test_free_irq_vectors() is called assuming that all IRQs
have been released.

However, some requested IRQs remain unreleased, so there are still
/proc/irq/* entries remaining, and this results in WARN() with the
following message:

  remove_proc_entry: removing non-empty directory 'irq/30', leaking at least 'pci-endpoint-test.0'
  WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 202 at fs/proc/generic.c:719 remove_proc_entry +0x190/0x19c

To solve this issue, set the number of remaining IRQs to test->num_irqs,
and release IRQs in advance by calling pci_endpoint_test_release_irq().

7962c82a6e misc: pci_endpoint_test: Handle BAR sizes larger than INT_MAX
Running 'pcitest -b 0' fails with "TEST FAILED" when the BAR0 size
is e.g. 8 GB.

The return value of the pci_resource_len() macro can be larger than that
of a signed integer type. Thus, when using 'pcitest' with an 8 GB BAR,
the bar_size of the integer type will overflow.

Change bar_size from integer to resource_size_t to prevent integer
overflow for large BAR sizes with 32-bit compilers.

In order to handle 64-bit resource_type_t on 32-bit platforms, we would
have needed to use a function like div_u64() or similar. Instead, change
the code to use addition instead of division. This avoids the need for
div_u64() or similar, while also simplifying the code.

7e80bbef1d misc: pci_endpoint_test: Give disabled BARs a distinct error code
The current code returns -ENOMEM if test->bar[barno] is NULL.

There can be two reasons why test->bar[barno] is NULL:

  1) The pci_ioremap_bar() call in pci_endpoint_test_probe() failed.
  2) The BAR was skipped, because it is disabled by the endpoint.

Many PCI endpoint controller drivers will disable all BARs in their
init function. A disabled BAR will have a size of 0.

A PCI endpoint function driver will be able to enable any BAR that
is not marked as BAR_RESERVED (which means that the BAR should not
be touched by the EPF driver).

Thus, perform check if the size is 0, before checking if
test->bar[barno] is NULL, such that we can return different errors.

This will allow the selftests to return SKIP instead of FAIL for
disabled BARs.

f25f405d25 eeprom: at24: Drop of_match_ptr() and ACPI_PTR() protections
These result in a very small reduction in driver size, but at the cost
of more complex build and slightly harder to read code. In the case of
of_match_ptr() it also prevents use of PRP0001 ACPI based identification.
In this particular case we have a valid ACPI/PNP ID that should be used
in preference to PRP0001 but doesn't mean we should prevent that route.

With this done, drop unneeded of*.h inclusions and __maybe_unused markers.

2397d61ee4 Revert "drivers/card_reader/rtsx_usb: Restore interrupt based detection"
This reverts commit 235b630eda.

This commit was found responsible for issues with SD card recognition,
as users had to re-insert their cards in the readers and wait for a
while. As for some people the SD card was involved in the boot process
it also caused boot failures.

f388f60ca9 x86/cpu: Drop configuration options for early 64-bit CPUs
The x86 CPU selection menu is confusing for a number of reasons:

When configuring 32-bit kernels, it shows a small number of early 64-bit
microarchitectures (K8, Core 2) but not the regular generic 64-bit target
that is the normal default.  There is no longer a reason to run 32-bit
kernels on production 64-bit systems, so only actual 32-bit CPUs need
to be shown here.

When configuring 64-bit kernels, the options also pointless as there is
no way to pick any CPU from the past 15 years, leaving GENERIC_CPU as
the only sensible choice.

Address both of the above by removing the obsolete options and making
all 64-bit kernels run on both Intel and AMD CPUs from any generation.
Testing generic 32-bit kernels on 64-bit hardware remains possible,
just not building a 32-bit kernel that requires a 64-bit CPU.
