fff8013f15 dt-bindings: lcdif: Add i.MX93 LCDIF support
There is one LCDIF embedded in i.MX93 SoC to connect with
MIPI DSI controller through LCDIF cross line pattern(controlled
by mediamix blk-ctrl) or connect with LVDS display bridge(LDB)
directly or connect with a parallel display through parallel
display format(also controlled by mediamix blk-ctrl). i.MX93
LCDIF IP is essentially the same to i.MX8MP LCDIF IP. Add device
tree binding for i.MX93 LCDIF.

cfaf76d349 dt-bindings: bridge: samsung-dsim: Make some flags optional
In the event a device is connected to the samsung-dsim
controller that doesn't support the burst-clock, the
driver is able to get the requested pixel clock from the
attached device or bridge. In these instances, the
samsung,burst-clock-frequency isn't needed, so remove
it from the required list.

The pll-clock frequency can be set by the device tree entry
for samsung,pll-clock-frequency, but in some cases, the
pll-clock may have the same clock rate as sclk_mipi clock.
If they are equal, this flag is not needed since the driver
will use the sclk_mipi rate as a fallback.

ec7743c9c4 dt-bindings: samsung,mipi-dsim: Add 'lane-polarities'

data lanes.

Add an optional property called 'lane-polarities' that describes the
polarities of the MIPI DSI clock and data lanes.

This property is useful for properly describing the hardware when the
board designer decided to switch the polarities of the MIPI DSI

Pull more tracing updates from Steven Rostedt:

 - Make buffer_percent read/write.

The buffer_percent file is how users can state how long to block on
the tracing buffer depending on how much is in the buffer. When it
hits the "buffer_percent" it will wake the task waiting on the
buffer. For some reason it was set to read-only.

This was not noticed because testing was done as root without
SELinux, but with SELinux it will prevent even root to write to it
   without having CAP_DAC_OVERRIDE.

 - The "touched_functions" was added this merge window, but one of the
reasons for adding it was not implemented.

That was to show what functions were not only touched, but had either
a direct trampoline attached to it, or a kprobe or live kernel
patching that can "hijack" the function to run a different function.
The point is to know if there's functions in the kernel that may not
be behaving as the kernel code shows. This can be used for debugging.

6ce2c04fcb ftrace: Add MODIFIED flag to show if IPMODIFY or direct was attached
If a function had ever had IPMODIFY or DIRECT attached to it, where this
is how live kernel patching and BPF overrides work, mark them and display
an "M" in the enabled_functions and touched_functions files. This can be
used for debugging. If a function had been modified and later there's a bug
in the code related to that function, this can be used to know if the cause
is possibly from a live kernel patch or a BPF program that changed the
behavior of the code.

Also update the documentation on the enabled_functions and
touched_functions output, as it was missing direct callers and CALL_OPS.
And include this new modify attribute.

4d276e4d3b dt-bindings: perf: riscv,pmu: fix property dependencies
Seemingly I mis-implemented the dependencies here. The OpenSBI docs only
point out that the "riscv,event-to-mhpmcounters property is mandatory if
riscv,event-to-mhpmevent is present". It never claims that
riscv,event-to-mhpmcounters requires riscv,event-to-mhpmevent.

Drop the dependency of riscv,event-to-mhpmcounters on
riscv,event-to-mhpmevent.

It also includes a new flag to force disabling of xattrs which can

Finally it adds a couple of additional mount options to better support

1604f51b40 ALSA: docs: Extend module parameters description
Common ALSA module parameters look a little bit confusing because of the
description lacking, and it took me a while to understand the purpose of
their existence. To figure it out I asked the question about them to the
"alsa-devel" mailing list, and Takashi Iwai answered me with the text I
appended to the ALSA documentation in this patch.

These common module parameters aren't used a lot nowadays, but as I
understand they are important for providing compatibility with some
existing user-space apps. So in my opinion it is a good idea to document
why we need them.

Pull pin control updates from Linus Walleij:
"Mostly drivers! Nothing special: some new Qualcomm chips as usual, and
the new NXP S32 and nVidia BlueField-3.

  Core changes:

   - Make a lot of pin controllers with GPIO and irqchips immutable,
i.e. not living structs, but const structs. This is driving a
changed initiated by the irqchip maintainers.

  New drivers:

   - New driver for the NXP S32 SoC pin controller

   - As part of a thorough cleanup and restructuring of the
Ralink/Mediatek drivers, the Ralink MIPS pin control drivers were
folded into the Mediatek directory and the family is renamed
"mtmips". The Ralink chips live on as Mediatek MIPS family where
new variants can be added. As part of this work also the device
     tree bindings were reworked.

   - New subdriver for the Qualcomm SM7150 SoC.

   - New subdriver for the Qualcomm IPQ9574 SoC.

   - New driver for the nVidia BlueField-3 SoC.

   - Support for the Qualcomm PMM8654AU mixed signal circuit GPIO.

   - Support for the Qualcomm PMI632 mixed signal circuit GPIO.

  Improvements:

   - Add some missing pins and generic cleanups on the Renesas r8a779g0
and r8a779g0 pin controllers. Generic Renesas extension for power
     source selection on several SoCs.

   - Misc cleanups for the Atmel AT91 and AT91-PIO4 pin controllers

   - Make the GPIO mode work on the Qualcomm SM8550-lpass-lpi driver.

   - Several device tree binding cleanups as the binding YAML syntax is
     solidifying"

4c093cbb89 Documentation: timers: hrtimers: Make hybrid union historical
Non-scalar time was removed from the ktime hybrid union in v3.17, and
the union itself followed suit in v4.10.

Make it clear that ktime_t is always a 64bit scalar type, to avoid
confusing the casual reader.

While at it, fix a spelling mistake.
