couple of fixes and some refactoring. The most notable additions
include new drivers for Loongson's Security Engine, RNG and TPM, new
drivers for TI's TPS6594 Power Button and BQ257xx Charger ICs.
The rest of the set provides a return value check fix and a
refactoring to use a more modern GPIO API for the VEXPRESS sysreg
driver, the removal of a deprecated IRQ ACK function from the MC13xxx
RTC driver and a new DT binding for the aforementioned TI BQ257xx
charger.
New Support & Features:
- Add a suite of drivers for the Loongson Security Engine, including
the core controller, a Random Number Generator (RNG) and Trusted
Platform Module (TPM) support.

Pull gpio updates from Bartosz Golaszewski:
"There are two new drivers and support for more models in existing
ones.
The generic GPIO API has been reworked and all users converted
which allowed us to move the fields specific to the generic GPIO
implementation out of the high-level struct gpio_chip into its own
structure that wraps the gpio_chip.
Other than that, there's nothing too exciting. Mostly minor tweaks and
fixes all over the place, some refactoring and some small new features
in helper modules.
GPIO core:
- add support for sparse pin ranges to the glue between GPIO and
pinctrl
- use a common prefix across all GPIO descriptor flags for improved
namespacing
New drivers:
- add new GPIO driver for the Nuvoton NCT6694
- add new GPIO driver for MAX7360
Driver improvements:
- add support for Tegra 256 to the gpio-tegra186 driver
- add support for Loongson-2K0300 to the gpio-loongson-64bit driver
- refactor the gpio-aggregator module to expose its GPIO forwarder
API to other in-kernel users (to enable merging of a new pinctrl
driver that uses it)
- convert all remaining drivers to using the modernized generic GPIO
chip API and remove the old interface
- stop displaying global GPIO numbers in debugfs output of controller
drivers
- extend the gpio-regmap helper with a new config option and improve
its support for GPIO interrupts
- remove redundant fast_io parameter from regmap configs in GPIO
drivers that already use MMIO regmaps which imply it
- add support for a new model in gpio-mmio: ixp4xx expansion bus
- order includes alphabetically in a few drivers for better
readability
- use generic device properties where applicable
- use devm_mutex_init() where applicable
- extend build coverage of drivers by enabling more to be compiled
with COMPILE_TEST enabled
- allow building gpio-stmpe as a module
- use dev_err_probe() where it makes sense in drivers
Late driver fixes:
- fix setting GPIO direction to output in gpio-mpfs
Documentation:
- document the usage of software nodes with GPIO chips
Device-tree bindings:
- Add DT bindings documents for new hardware: Tegra256, MAX7360
- Document a new model in Loongson bindings: LS2K0300
- Document a new model using the generic GPIO binding: IXP4xx
- Convert the DT binding for fsl,mxs-pinctrl to YAML
- fix the schema ID in the "trivial" GPIO schema

Struct ff_effect_compat is embedded twice inside
uinput_ff_upload_compat, contains internal padding. In particular, there
is a hole after struct ff_replay to satisfy alignment requirements for
the following union member. Without clearing the structure,
copy_to_user() may leak stack data to userspace.
Initialize ff_up_compat to zero before filling valid fields.

'Resin' (*Res*et *In*put) is usually connected to a volume down button
on devices, which is usually not expected to wake up the device from
suspend.
On the other hand, pwrkey should keep wakeup on. So do not enable wakeup
for resin unless the "wakeup-source" property is specified in
devicetree.
Note, that this does change behavior by turning off wakeup by default
for 'resin' and requiring a new dt property to be added to turn it on
again. But since this is not expected behavior in the first place, and
most users will not expect this, I'd argue this change is acceptable.

A number of modules in the input subsystem use EXPORT_SYMBOL() and
friends without explicitly including the corresponding header
<linux/export.h>. While the build currently succeeds due to this header
being pulled in transitively, this is not guaranteed to be the case in
the future.
Let's add the explicit include to make the dependencies clear and
prevent future build breakage.

The driver called pwm_config() and pwm_enable() separately. Today both
are wrappers for pwm_apply_might_sleep() and it's more effective to call
this function directly and only once. Also don't configure the
duty_cycle and period if the next operation is to disable the PWM so
configure the PWM in max77693_haptic_enable().
With the direct use of pwm_apply_might_sleep() the need to call
pwm_apply_args() in .probe() is now gone, too, so drop this one.

Both pwm_config() and pwm_enable() are wrappers around
pwm_apply_might_sleep(). Instead of calling this function twice only
call it once without an intermediate step.
Setup the PWM in max8997_haptic_enable() only where it was enabled
historically. max8997_haptic_set_duty_cycle() is renamed accordingly to
make it clear this function is only about the internal setup now.
pwm_config() was called earlier back then, but that call has no effect
on the hardware when the PWM is disabled, so delaying this configuration
doesn't make a difference.
As pwm_apply_might_sleep() is used now defining the whole state of the
PWM, the call to pwm_apply_args() in .probe() can be dropped now, too.

W=1 builds warn that the data written to 'tc_name' is truncated for
theoretical strings such as "channel-2147483646".
Solve this problem by replacing snprintf() with scnprintf() so that
the return value corresponds to what was actually written.
In practice, the largest string that will be written is "channel-8",
and the return value is not actually evaluated. Instead, this patch
ultimately removes the warning without unnecessarily increasing the
size of 'tc_name' from 10 bytes.

Some register groups reserve a byte at the end of their continuous
address space. Depending on the variant of silicon, this field may
share the same memory space as the lower byte of the system status
register (0x10).
In these cases, caching the reserved byte and writing it later may
effectively reset the device depending on what happened in between
the read and write operations.
Solve this problem by avoiding any access to this last byte within
offending register groups. This method replaces a workaround which
attempted to write the reserved byte with up-to-date contents, but
left a small window in which updates by the device could have been
clobbered.
Now that the driver does not touch these reserved bytes, the order
in which the device's registers are written no longer matters, and
they can be written in their natural order. The new method is also
much more generic, and can be more easily extended to new variants
of silicon with different register maps.
As part of this change, the register read and write functions must
be gently updated to support byte access instead of word access.

Currently the platform filter cannot access any driver-specific state
which forces drivers installing a i8042 filter to have at least some
kind of global pointer for their filter.
Allow callers of i8042_install_filter() to submit a context pointer
which is then passed to the i8042 filter. This frees drivers from the
responsibility of having to manage this global pointer themself.
Also introduce a separate type for the i8042 filter (i8042_filter_t)
so that the function definitions can stay compact.

Replace ternary (condition ? "enable" : "disable") syntax with helpers
from string_choices.h because:
1. Simple function call with one argument is easier to read. Ternary
operator has three arguments and with wrapping might lead to quite
long code.
2. Is slightly shorter thus also easier to read.
3. It brings uniformity in the text - same string.
4. Allows deduping by the linker, which results in a smaller binary
file.

The MCU controls the power-button and beeper, so expose them as input
device. There is of course no interrupt line, so the status of the
power-button needs to be polled. To generate an event the power-button
also needs to be held for 1-2 seconds, so the polling interval does
not need to be overly fast.
