8f3d044b34 net: pse-pd: pd692x0: Preserve PSE configuration across reboots
Detect when PSE hardware is already configured (user byte == 42) and
skip hardware initialization to prevent power interruption to connected
devices during system reboots.

Previously, the driver would always reconfigure the PSE hardware on
probe, causing a port matrix reflash that resulted in temporary power
loss to all connected devices. This change maintains power continuity
by preserving existing configuration when the PSE has been previously
initialized.

6fa1f8b64a net: pse-pd: pd692x0: Separate configuration parsing from hardware setup
Cache the port matrix configuration in driver private data to enable
PSE controller reconfiguration. This refactoring separates device tree
parsing from hardware configuration application, allowing settings to be
reapplied without reparsing the device tree.

This refactoring is a prerequisite for preserving PSE configuration
across reboots to prevent power disruption to connected devices.

e1f5bb196f net: bcmasp: Add support for PHY-based Wake-on-LAN
If available, interrogate the PHY to find out whether we can use it for
Wake-on-LAN. This can be a more power efficient way of implementing that
feature, especially when the MAC is powered off in low power states.

1a8fed52f7 netdevsim: set the carrier when the device goes up
Bringing a linked netdevsim device down and then up causes communication
failure because both interfaces lack carrier. Basically a ifdown/ifup on
the interface make the link broken.

Commit 3762ec05a9 ("netdevsim: add NAPI support") added supported
for NAPI, calling netif_carrier_off() in nsim_stop(). This patch
re-enables the carrier symmetrically on nsim_open(), in case the device
is linked and the peer is up.

9c5f229b13 wifi: ath12k: fix TX and RX MCS rate configurations in HE mode
Currently, the TX and RX MCS rate configurations per peer are
reversed when sent to the firmware. As a result, RX MCS rates
are configured for TX, and vice versa. This commit rectifies
the configuration to match what the firmware expects.

8c21b32c2c wifi: ath12k: fix VHT MCS assignment
While associating, firmware needs the peer's receive capability
to calculate its own VHT transmit MCS. Currently, the host
sends this information via mcs->rx_mcs_set field, but firmware
actually reads it from mcs->tx_mcs_set field. This mismatch is
incorrect.

This issue has not caused failures so far because most peers
advertise identical TX and RX capabilities. Fix this by
assigning the value to tx_mcs_set as expected.

Additionally, the rate control mask is intended to limit our
transmit MCS, so it should also apply to the peer's receive
capability. Update the logic accordingly.

b94f523cc5 wifi: ath12k: Fix NSS value update in ext_rx_stats
Currently, in ext_rx_stats, the NSS value is taken directly from
the firmware, which results in incorrect mapping:
        4x4, 3x3, 2x2, 1x1 SS are incorrectly updated as 3x3, 2x2,
1x1, 0x0 SS respectively.

Fix the issue by incrementing the NSS value by 1 while updating
the PPDU info to ensure accurate spatial stream statistics.

Remove the redundant +1 increment in the radiotap header when monitor
mode is enabled to prevent double counting.

6917e268c4 wifi: ath12k: Defer vdev bring-up until CSA finalize to avoid stale beacon
Mac80211 schedules CSA finalize work twice during a channel switch: first
during the reserved switch phase and again during the finalize phase.
The beacon content is updated only during the second schedule, which occurs
after the reserved switch completes. However, the ath12k driver attempts to
bring up the VDEV during the channel switch callback
(ath12k_mac_update_vif_chan()), which leads to premature installation of
stale beacon templates before the updated content is available.

This premature VDEV bring-up causes outdated beacon information to be
broadcast, which can result in updated channel parameters during the
transition. In MBSSID scenarios, this behavior is particularly problematic
because the transmitting interface's beacon must be updated before
non-transmitting interfaces are brought up. Failing to do so can lead to
beacon mismatches across interfaces.

Introduce a is_csa_in_progress flag to defer VDEV_UP until CSA finalize is
complete. Set this flag during the channel switch callback when CSA is
active. In bss_info_changed(), check this flag and issue VDEV_UP only
after the beacon template has been updated.

Ensure that in MBSSID cases, the transmitting interface is brought up
first, followed by all non-transmitting interfaces. This ordering makes
sure correct beacon propagation and avoids stale beacon installation
during CSA transitions.

Additionally, move the call to ath12k_mac_update_peer_puncturing_width()
before VDEV bring-up during CSA handling. This ensures that the puncturing
bitmap and bandwidth settings are applied before the VDEV is brought up.

43ba986e7a wifi: ath12k: track dropped MSDU buffer type packets in REO exception ring
Add a counter "reo_excep_msdu_buf_type" in
ath12k_debugfs_dump_device_dp_stats() to account for packets dropped
due to unexpected MSDU buffer types in the RX error path. These
packets are discarded to prevent incorrect parsing and potential
kernel crashes. This helps in debugging and monitoring RX error
handling behavior.

36f9edbb9d wifi: ath12k: Fix MSDU buffer types handling in RX error path
Currently, packets received on the REO exception ring from
unassociated peers are of MSDU buffer type, while the driver expects
link descriptor type packets. These packets are not parsed further due
to a return check on packet type in ath12k_hal_desc_reo_parse_err(),
but the associated skb is not freed. This may lead to kernel
crashes and buffer leaks.

Hence to fix, update the RX error handler to explicitly drop
MSDU buffer type packets received on the REO exception ring.
This prevents further processing of invalid packets and ensures
stability in the RX error handling path.

596b911644 wifi: ath11k: restore register window after global reset
Hardware target implements an address space larger than that PCI BAR can
map. In order to be able to access the whole target address space, the BAR
space is split into 4 segments, of which the last 3, called windows, can
be dynamically mapped to the desired area. This is achieved by updating
window register with appropriate window value. Currently each time when
accessing a register that beyond ATH11K_PCI_WINDOW_START, host calculates
the window value and caches it after window update, this way next time
when accessing a register falling in the same window, host knows that the
window is already good hence no additional update needed.

However this mechanism breaks after global reset is triggered in
ath11k_pci_soc_global_reset(), because with global reset hardware resets
window register hence the window is not properly mapped any more. Current
host does nothing about this, as a result a subsequent register access may
not work as expected if it falls in a window same as before.

Although there is no obvious issue seen now, better to fix it to avoid
future problem. The fix is done by restoring the window register after
global reset.

f35a07a484 wifi: ath10k: move recovery check logic into a new work
Currently, ath10k has a recovery check logic. It will wait for the
last recovery to finish by wait_for_completion_timeout();

But in SDIO scenarios, the recovery function may be invoked from
interrupt context, where long blocking waits are undesirable and can
lead to system instability.

Additionally, Linux’s ordered workqueue processes one task at a time.
If a previous recovery is still queued or executing, new triggers are
ignored. This prevents accurate tracking of consecutive failures and
delays transition to the WEDGED state.

To address this, move the recovery check logic into a different
workqueue.

wcn36xx_smd_update_scan_params() last use was removed in 2020 by
commit 5973a29474 ("wcn36xx: Fix software-driven scan")

Remove it.

This leaves the wcn36xx_hal_update_scan_params_req_ex and
wcn36xx_hal_update_scan_params_resp structs unused.

Remove them, together with the unused
wcn36xx_hal_update_scan_params_req.

bfdd74166a gve: Check valid ts bit on RX descriptor before hw timestamping
The device returns a valid bit in the LSB of the low timestamp byte in
the completion descriptor that the driver should check before
setting the SKB's hardware timestamp. If the timestamp is not valid, do not
hardware timestamp the SKB.

2616222e42 amd-xgbe: Avoid spurious link down messages during interface toggle
During interface toggle operations (ifdown/ifup), the driver currently
resets the local helper variable 'phy_link' to -1. This causes the link
state machine to incorrectly interpret the state as a link change event,
resulting in spurious "Link is down" messages being logged when the
interface is brought back up.

Preserve the phy_link state across interface toggles to avoid treating
the -1 sentinel value as a legitimate link state transition.

a7075f501b ixgbevf: fix mailbox API compatibility by negotiating supported features
There was backward compatibility in the terms of mailbox API. Various
drivers from various OSes supporting 10G adapters from Intel portfolio
could easily negotiate mailbox API.

This convention has been broken since introducing API 1.4.
Commit 0062e7cc95 ("ixgbevf: add VF IPsec offload code") added support
for IPSec which is specific only for the kernel ixgbe driver. None of the
rest of the Intel 10G PF/VF drivers supports it. And actually lack of
support was not included in the IPSec implementation - there were no such
code paths. No possibility to negotiate support for the feature was
introduced along with introduction of the feature itself.

Commit 339f289641 ("ixgbevf: Add support for new mailbox communication
between PF and VF") increasing API version to 1.5 did the same - it
introduced code supported specifically by the PF ESX driver. It altered API
version for the VF driver in the same time not touching the version
defined for the PF ixgbe driver. It led to additional discrepancies,
as the code provided within API 1.6 cannot be supported for Linux ixgbe
driver as it causes crashes.

The issue was noticed some time ago and mitigated by Jake within the commit
d0725312ad ("ixgbevf: stop attempting IPSEC offload on Mailbox API 1.5").
As a result we have regression for IPsec support and after increasing API
to version 1.6 ixgbevf driver stopped to support ESX MBX.

To fix this mess add new mailbox op asking PF driver about supported
features. Basing on a response determine whether to set support for IPSec
and ESX-specific enhanced mailbox.

New mailbox op, for compatibility purposes, must be added within new API
revision, as API version of OOT PF & VF drivers is already increased to
1.6 and doesn't incorporate features negotiate op.

Features negotiation mechanism gives possibility to be extended with new
features when needed in the future.

53f0eb62b4 ixgbevf: fix getting link speed data for E610 devices
E610 adapters no longer use the VFLINKS register to read PF's link
speed and linkup state. As a result VF driver cannot get actual link
state and it incorrectly reports 10G which is the default option.
It leads to a situation where even 1G adapters print 10G as actual
link speed. The same happens when PF driver set speed different than 10G.

Add new mailbox operation to let the VF driver request a PF driver
to provide actual link data. Update the mailbox api to v1.6.

Incorporate both ways of getting link status within the legacy
ixgbe_check_mac_link_vf() function.

a3f8c0a273 idpf: cleanup remaining SKBs in PTP flows
When the driver requests Tx timestamp value, one of the first steps is
to clone SKB using skb_get. It increases the reference counter for that
SKB to prevent unexpected freeing by another component.
However, there may be a case where the index is requested, SKB is
assigned and never consumed by PTP flows - for example due to reset during
running PTP apps.

Add a check in release timestamping function to verify if the SKB
assigned to Tx timestamp latch was freed, and release remaining SKBs.

70f92ab970 r8169: fix packet truncation after S4 resume on RTL8168H/RTL8111H
After resume from S4 (hibernate), RTL8168H/RTL8111H truncates incoming
packets. Packet captures show messages like "IP truncated-ip - 146 bytes
missing!".

The issue is caused by RxConfig not being properly re-initialized after
resume. Re-initializing the RxConfig register before the chip
re-initialization sequence avoids the truncation and restores correct
packet reception.

This follows the same pattern as commit ef9da46dde ("r8169: fix data
corruption issue on RTL8402").

d5d790ba15 net: usb: lan78xx: Fix lost EEPROM write timeout error(-ETIMEDOUT) in lan78xx_write_raw_eeprom
The function lan78xx_write_raw_eeprom failed to properly propagate EEPROM
write timeout errors (-ETIMEDOUT). In the timeout  fallthrough path, it first
attempted to restore the pin configuration for LED outputs and then
returned only the status of that restore operation, discarding the
original timeout error saved in ret.

As a result, callers could mistakenly treat EEPROM write operation as
successful even though the EEPROM write had actually timed out with no
or partial data write.

To fix this, handle errors in restoring the LED pin configuration separately.
If the restore succeeds, return any prior EEPROM write timeout error saved
in ret to the caller.

2eecd3a41e eth: fbnic: fix reporting of alloc_failed qstats
Rx processing under normal circumstances has 3 rings - 2 buffer
rings (heads, payloads) and a completion ring. All the rings
have a struct fbnic_ring. Make sure we expose alloc_failed
counter from the buffer rings, previously only the alloc_failed
from the completion ring was reported, even tho all ring types
may increment this counter (buffer rings in __fbnic_fill_bdq()).

This makes the pp_alloc_fail.py test pass, it expects the qstat
to be incrementing as page pool injections happen.

858b78b24a eth: fbnic: fix saving stats from XDP_TX rings on close
When rings are freed - stats get added to the device level stat
structs. Save the stats from the XDP_TX ring just as Tx stats.
Previously they would be saved to Rx and Tx stats. So we'd not
see XDP_TX packets as Rx during runtime but after an down/up cycle
the packets would appear in stats.

Correct the helper used by ethtool code which does a runtime
config switch.

613e9e8dcb eth: fbnic: fix accounting of XDP packets
Make XDP-handled packets appear in the Rx stats. The driver has been
counting XDP_TX packets on the Tx ring, but there wasn't much accounting
on the Rx side (the Rx bytes appear to be incremented on XDP_TX but
XDP_DROP / XDP_ABORT are only counted as Rx drops).

Counting XDP_TX packets (not just bytes) in Rx stats looks like
a simple bug of omission.

The XDP_DROP handling appears to be intentional. Whether XDP_DROP
packets should be counted in interface-level Rx stats is a bit
unclear historically. When we were defining qstats, however,
we clarified based on operational experience that in this context:

    For drivers supporting XDP, XDP is considered the first layer
    of the stack, so packets consumed by XDP are still counted here.

fbnic does not obey this requirement. Since XDP support has been added
in current release cycle, instead of splitting interface and qstat
handling - make them both follow the qstat definition.

Another small tweak here is that we count bytes as received on the wire
rather than post-XDP bytes (xdp_get_buff_len() vs skb->len).

7e617d57f2 eth: fbnic: fix missing programming of the default descriptor
XDP_TX typically uses no offloads. To optimize XDP we added a "default
descriptor" feature to the chip, which allows us to send XDP frames with
just the buffer descriptors (DMA address + length). All the metadata
descriptors are derived from the queue config.

Commit under Fixes missed adding setting the defaults up when transplanting
the code from the prototype driver. Importantly after reset the "request
completion" bit is not set. Packets still get sent but there's no
completion, so ring is not cleaned up. We can send one ring's worth
of packets and then will start dropping all frames that got the XDP_TX
action from the XDP prog.
