# EntityControl EntityControl is the base component that all [Entity](../Entity.md) must have to be considered one. It mostly offers many capabilities and shared behaviors with a common lifecycle. Any [NPCControl](../NPCControl/NPCControl.md) must also be an EntityControl which is accessed through the `entity` field.
